Jay joined The Bowen Group in 2013 after 23 rewarding years as a Marine Corps officer, during which he served at the battalion, regiment and division staff level, as well as in various Headquarters Marine Corps positions. He has significant experience in manpower and pay policy, organizational management, requirements analysis, and developing creative solutions to solve problems. Bringing his expertise in wounded warrior policy and support, program management and detailed analysis, Jay’s leadership acumen has enhanced relationships between clients, veteran customers and service-level employees at Bowen.

Throughout his career, he has sought to coach subordinates and provide an environment that spurs creative thinking and innovation. This focus has resulted in notable success in Bowen’s telephonic life coaching and career coaching programs supporting service members and veterans. In addition, Jay’s technical expertise brings an elevated level of analysis to requirements development and system requirements, improving Bowen’s ability to create and describe solutions to government clients.

Jay has a Master of Science in information technology management from Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Oklahoma. He volunteers for the Virginia chapter of the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League. Jay and his wife Christine live in northern Virginia near their three granddaughters and are preparing to be empty nesters as their youngest child graduates high school.
